I needed new breaks for my car and they gave me high quality breaks for a great price. The price was actually around $40 below estimate. I found the employees very nice and the word outstanding. I will be going back to Zepeda for all my car needs!

the taurus was making terrifying sounds, so i brought it into zepeda on saturday. after an inspection on the same day (took about an hour, so i probably should have waited at streetside), carlos (the manager) explained that i needed to have all of my brake pads replaced, as well as the wheel cylinders, that that was unusual for a car with only 20,000 miles on it, and that it might have been because my 90 year old grandma who gave it to me drove with two feet (which wears down the brakes). he gave me a very reasonable quote, plus a discount on labor for being referred to him by a friend and told me to pick up my car on monday. as promised, the taurus was ready and raring to go on monday replete with new high-quality brakes and 6 month or 6000 mile warranty. carlos even showed me all the old chewed up bits that he replaced before sending me on my way. bottom line: zepeda is a professional auto repair shop where you get honest, reasonable quotes and your car gets fixed FAST with QUALITY products. highly recommended.

If you ever dread going to car place because you think the people there will try to take you for a ride, or make you feel dumb - you are not alone. Go to Zepeda Auto Repair on Armitage. I just went to get my muffler fixed and it was a great experience. Carlos the owner (I think) was really great and communicative, gave me a good/ fair price, and did it in a timely manner. I will be back and will recommend this place to everyone!

I'm going to put up a tentative five stars for now. After reading yelp reviews, I took my car there to fix a problem with my brakes. They were very professional, personable, and seemed competent enough for me to leave my car there and have the work done. I wouldn't say it was the cheapest deal in town, but certainly reasonable. They diagnosed the problem, did what they said they were going to do, and had our car back very quickly. I'll go there again for sure.

Phenomenal Service. Got transmition, radiator, ignition, oil change, wiper fluids, and assesments all done here with multiple cars. I can't believe I found a car garage in Chicago that's not shady. This place blew my mind. Also, the owner/main guy is obsessed with teaching you how your car runs and helping you understand the job he did. I got my exaust replaced and he showed me the rusted pipe the led from the catylic converter to I'm assuming the muffler and then printed out diagrams to help me understand what he was doing. I felt if I was there ten minutes longer he would up taught me how to perform the job myself. Good business, good people.

They are honest, good, and reasonably priced. My car broke down and this was not my neighborhood, but they were really helpful and did quick good work. They seem slightly disorganized, but I enjoyed their service very much.

So the car dies out of nowhere. I'm pissed. Who wouldn't be right? So I call Zepeda early that morning and explained the situation. I needed a tow and theyt took down my address and said a guy will be there soon. 20 minutes later the tow truck is outside. 10 minutes and the car is ready to leave, and then I start to panic about the price. Normally in Chicago you're going to pay at least $80 for a tow. Since we live within a few miles of Zepeda, the tow truck charged me $45! yes you read that right, $45! Not only that, I didn't have any cash (cash only) so he took the car to Zepeda and they paid him and just added his tow to the final bill. Fast forward, the car is fixed that same day and when I go to pick it up, Carlos ran down everything that was wrong, as well as what I should probably do in the future in order of 'nothing big' to 'oh shit do it soon.' Price? It was not bad, actually. The place wasn't dodgy looking at all either. I am very satisfied with Zepeda.

I found this place after getting my car towed there, wow what a find. Carlos the owner is honest, fair and won't give you any BS, His crew too. He will call you with an exact price before any work is to be done. I have taken my car there for a few years now and I will continue to.

I've brought my own car to Zepeda twice (first time was a clutch.. second.. honestly not sure what it is yet), and brought my girlfriend's car there once (replaced the steering rack). These guys are great! Seriously the best experience I've had with a mechanic. They consistently quote me the lowest prices (a clutch cost me 300 less there than I was quoted at any other mechanic.. and I called between 15-20) and the work is great. Carlos is awesome to work with, and will take the time to make sure you understand exactly what they did with your car, and why. The only draw back.. and this is so minor in relation to all the bonuses.. Their not really good at calling you with status on your car. They don't do work without approval or keep you car past when it's done or anything.. but they'll be later than they anticipate with status... So, I've found that it's good to be a little proactive with the contact. Other than that.. I think this shop is the best I've ever found. I can't believe that I'm actually pleased to give an auto mechanic my business.

Hands down, the place to take your car for anything. After being burned at a Midas, I was eager to find an honest local mechanic, and Zepeda's exceeded my expectations. Carlos is really, really nice, explains things thoroughly, doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need, and gives you the best deal (I shopped around) on quality parts and labor. This might sound corny, but I walked out of there really feeling like they were looking out for what's best for me and my car, not just trying to blast through a job to get paid. I'm going back to them for everything from now on.I've gone here a few times for repairs. Last time I thought it was a bigger problem than it was, and it turned out to be a $28 dollar fix. They could have totally convinced me I needed a new alternator. Another time they took a picture of a bolt left in the innerworkings of the car by a previous mechanic, which was the cause of some crazy sparking and noise on a long drive.
